How to prepare for it out loud
Reading about icu organisation, safety and outreach and being asked about it are different skills. In the room you have to commit to an opening line, hold a structure while the examiner probes, and keep talking sense under time. The fastest way to build that is repetition — being questioned on the topic often enough that the shape of a good answer becomes automatic.

- Answer the question asked. A short answer that squarely lands the point is a good answer — the examiner can always prompt for more. Padding is what gets marked down, not brevity.
- Practise the follow-ups. Marks are won and lost where the examiner drills past your first answer. A practice viva that keeps probing is worth more than re-reading the chapter.
